PROPOSAL OF THE RESOLUTION Committee for the European Union - 40th session - December 2nd 2015

in regard to Information about the European Parliament and European Council Proposal to amend Directive 91/477/EHS on control of the acquisition and possession of weapons /document code 14422/15, KOM(2015) 750 final/ Committee for the European Union of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech republic, after hearing of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mgr. Monika Pálková, after hearing of the report of the Deputy Roman Váňa, and after debate

1. ‪#‎disagrees‬ with intent of the European Commission to restrict acquisition and possession of firearms that are possessed and used legally in accord with internal law of EU Member states;

2. ‪#‎rejects‬ any Commission's interference with functional system of control, evidence, acquisition and possession of firearms and ammunition that is set in the law of the Czech republic;

3. ‪#‎claims‬ support to establishing of all functional measures that follow goal of elimination of illegal trade, acquisition, possession and other manipulation with firearms, ammunition and explosives;

4. ‪#‎opposes‬ European Commission's attempt to persecute Member States and their citizens by unjustified restrictions on legal firearms ownership, as a reaction on tragic events associated with terror attacks in Paris;

5. ‪#‎recommends‬ to Prime Minister of the Czech Republic to take all legal and diplomatic measures to prevent passing Directive that would be infringement on Czech law in regard to trade, control, acquisition and possession of firearms, thereby inappropriately infringing on rights of citizens of the Czech republic.

521 potpis iz Hrvatske...

Uzmemo li u obzir da iz Italije ima oko 12 000 potpisa, da Italija ima oko 60 milijuna stanovnika a Hrvatska niti 4 i pol milijuna stanovnika; da Italija ima mnoštvo lovaca i strijelaca, mogu zaključiti da nismo ni tako loši.

Možda su lovci, kojih ima oko 40 ooo zaštekali, no siguran sam da su strijelci obavili posao.

Lovci su zasigurno zaštekali,s obzirom da ih 95% uopće nije na internetu a ovih 5% je u debati koji je vepar jači u kljovama i što bacati jelenu u jasle.Šteta jer je brojka članova HLS-a velika.

Uistinu je žalosno. I lovci koriste poluautomatsko oružje pa će se jednog dana čuditi zašto ostaju bez Benelija, BAR-ova i sličnih cjevčica.

Znam da smo se svi potrudili oko ove teme, poslane su stotine i tisuće mailova, otvorili smo i facebook stranicu Hsas Casc kako bi ubrzali širenje informacija. Moram zahvaliti kolegi scoutu koji je pregorio servere šaljući dopise i puno pomogao da ova brojka potpisnika iz Hrvatske bude ovakva.

Dear Sir,

Your email on the revision of Directive 2008/51/EC is receiving our full attention. The proposal as adopted by the European Commission on 18 November 2015 puts forward a package of measures that are aimed at strengthening control on sale and registration of firearms, better tracking of legally held firearms, strengthening cooperation between Member States, and ensuring that deactivated firearms are rendered inoperable. I can assure you that we will be looking very carefully into all aspects of the proposal. However, the revision process is currently at its very initial stage and therefore it is very hard to assess all the details of the proposal before taking a definitive stance.
Let me point out that we understand the concerns expressed by many hunters and sport shooters who feel the risk of an amalgam between their activities and terrorism, or fear the addition of useless restrictions to the legal exercise of their activities. This should not become an effect of the upcoming revision. In my opinion, the most important thing here is to find the right balance in order to adopt measures that will on the one hand ensure security and prevent any abuses that can lead to tragic consequences and will on the other hand also preserve the freedoms and rights of all European citizens. I therefore fully support measures that will be implemented in accordance with the rule of law and protection of fundamental rights, taking into account also the principles of necessity and proportionality. In addition, let me emphasize that the legislation process needs to take into account also the views and concerns expressed by citizens and civil society.
